Gangadhara Tilak Katnam is a 67-year-old retired railway employee who has taken it upon himself to fix the potholes on the roads of Hyderabad, India. Every morning, he starts his car and drives around the city, searching for potholes to repair. The backseat of his car is always filled with gunny bags filled with tar-mixed gravel, which he collects from roadsides. When he first started his venture, Gangadhara only had five bags of tar-mixed gravel. But now, his car carries eight to ten such bags, which he empties whenever he spots a pothole.
